Screening for Plagiarism Policy
EcoFin: Journal of Economics and Financial Accounting is committed to upholding academic integrity by ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism.
Screening Process:

All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) prior to the peer review stage.

The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, and substantial overlap in core sections (methodology, results, discussion) is not allowed.
Actions on Plagiarism:

In cases of minor plagiarism (e.g., improperly cited quotations or references), authors will be asked to revise the manuscript.

In cases of major plagiarism (e.g., direct copying without proper attribution, including self-plagiarism), the manuscript will:

Be automatically rejected,

And the author(s) may face submission restrictions for a specified period.

The journal encourages all authors to cite sources properly and ethically, and to paraphrase appropriately when incorporating ideas from other works.
